Phenoxymethylpenicillin or Penicillin VK is a penicillin antibiotic used to prevent and treat mild to moderately severe infections in the respiratory tract, skin, and soft tissues.
Who can take Penicillin VK?
Most adults and children can take phenoxymethylpenicillin, including during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Who may not be able to take Penicillin VK?
Phenoxymethylpenicillin is not suitable for some people. To make sure this medicine is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:
- ever had an allergic reaction to phenoxymethylpenicillin, or any other antibiotics or medicine.
- kidney problems.
- any allergies.
- asthma.
