What is Oraqix and what is is used for?

Oraqix is a non-injectable dental local anaesthetic indicated in adults for localised anaesthesia in periodontal pockets for diagnostic and treatment procedures such as probing, scaling and/or root planning.

Oraqix is not for injection. Oraqix should not be used in patients with congenital or idiopathic methemoglobinemia.

Oraqix Application - Quick delivery, fast onset, easy application

Apply Oraqix on the gingival margin around the selected teeth. Wait 30 seconds.

Insert the blunt-tipped applicator into the pocket and begin to fill the periodontal pocket.

Fill periodontal pockets until Oraqix gel becomes visible at the gingival margin. Wait another 30 seconds.

Begin SRP treatment.

What does Oraqix contain?

The active substances are prilocaine (base) and lidocaine (base).

The other ingredients are poloxamer 188 purified, poloxamer 407 purified, purified water, and dilute hydrochloric acid, used to adjust pH.

What does Oraqix looks like and what's in the pack?

Oraqix is a Periodontal gel. It is a clear, colorless gel in a glass cartridge for and is single use.

• Each gram of Oraqix periodontal gel contains 25 mg of lidocaine and 25 mg of prilocaine.
• Each cartridge contains 1.7 g of gel (42.5 mg lidocaine and 42.5 mg prilocaine).
• Each pack contains 20 cartridges.
