Vita Powder Scan Spray - 75ml
VITA Powder Scan Spray is a spray-on, titanium dioxide free and blue coloured pigment suspension with mint aroma for intraoral application (tooth surface) as well as for extraoral use (plaster die / plaster model) for the fabrication of the opto-electronic impression for CAD/CAM restorations.
With the VITA Powder Scan Spray, the tooth or model surface is mattened in order to obtain an optimum image with intraoral cameras and/or with a intraoral scanner.
- Suitable for intra-oral (tooth surface) and extra-oral (plaster die/plaster model) use.
- All quadrants can be easily accessed thanks to the flexible and rotatable spray application needle.
- VITA Powder Scan Spray can be used for taking images with an intraoral camera (e.g. with Sirona CEREC 3 and CEREC AC) or with a scanner (e.g. Sirona inEos or Sirona inLab).
Vita Powder Scan Spray Benefits
- Enables the application of a uniform and thin coat to the treatment area. As a result, edges are precisely reproduced and a perfect fit of the restoration is ensured.
- Reduced treatment times thanks to the very short drying time and fast and complete removal from the treatment area using water spray.
- All quadrants can be properly accessed thanks to the flexible spray application needle that allows 360° rotation.
- The new formula with its high concentration of powder ensures a superior yield and higher cost-effectiveness.
- The special nozzle and the optimized combination of powder and propellant avoid clogging.
How to use Vita Powder Scan Spray
Preparing for spraying
- Attach spray head with spraying needle to the spray can. Before each application, pull gently to check that the needle/nozzle is securely seated in the spray head.
- The Spraying needle can be rotated by 360° in order to reach an ideal position with regard to the areas to be sprayed.
- The spraying needle can be bent slightly. Never bend to a right angle!
- Thoroughly clean and dry areas to be spayed.
- Shake the spray can well before spraying! The mixing ball must be clearly audible.
Spraying procedure
Before spraying on the tooth for the first time, spray briefly outside the patient's mouth.
- One brief squirt is sufficient for each tooth.
- Make sure the container is held upright when spraying.
- While spraying, press the spray head briefly to release a small amount of the material each time. Use sparingly.
- The distance between the spray can and the surface to be sprayed should – if possible – be approx. 10 – 15 mm. The surface must be completely coated with a thin, homogeneous layer.
- Capture the image with the scanner according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- For reasons of hygiene and to always obtain optimal spray distribution, it is recommended that the spray application tip be cleaned after each use.
Cleaning the surfaces after successful image capture
- After image capture, the surface can be cleaned using a water or air jet. In order to clean the surface completely, repeat the procedure if necessary.
- For intraoral use, rotating prophylaxis brushes can be additionally used for cleaning.
