Ultrapak Retraction Cord from Ultradent Products is a flexible knitted retraction cord used for gingival retraction on anterior teeth and is made from 100% cotton.

Ultrapak Retraction Cord Characteristics

Ultradent Ultrapak Retraction Cord is made up of thousands of tiny loops that are knitted together in long interlocking chains, making the Ultrapak cord more compressible and provides rapid tissue displacement. Upon packing, the loops compress, causing them to release haemostatic astringent to the underlying tissues.

Available in 6 sizes, the retraction cord's 000 size is perfect for paediatric cases where decay has progressed below the gum line and for use as the initial cord in the double-cord method.

It will not entangle in a diamond bur and the 100% cotton fibres offer excellent absorption of haemostatic agents and sulcular fluids.

The bottle itself features a high-carbon blade attached to the lid which guarantees a clean cut every time as well as having a ruler printed on the label which provides convenient cord measuring.
