Tips to get your SURI toothbrush started

Charging Your SURI Toothbrush

SURI recommends you charge your brush before first use.

Plug your stand into any 5V USB 2.0 charger using the cable provided - most phone chargers work well.

The light will blink blue and turn solid white when fully charged.

The battery lasts for over 40 days, so you only need to charge your brush once a month – charging less also helps preserve the battery life.

Using Plant-Based Heads

Slide your brush head on with the bristles facing the direction of the power button until it goes as far down as possible. Dentists recommend changing your brush head every 3 months, as frayed and damaged bristles don't provide an effective clean.

Clean Mode and Polish Mode

Add a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on your brush head with a splash of water. Then push your brush's button to turn on Everyday Clean mode (white light).

For best results, pivot your brush head at a 45-degree angle towards your gum line and brush in small circles on your teeth. Your brush will make a haptic notification every 30 seconds for you to move to a different quadrant of your mouth and turn off after 2 minutes of use (the recommended brushing time).

• Speeds: Your brush has two speeds, Everyday Clean and Polish modes. SURI recommends you use the Everyday Clean mode when first using a sonic-powered brush. For a stronger clean, you can push the button again to turn on polish mode (blue light).
• Memory: When you turn the brush on in the first 10 seconds, you can switch between modes (Everyday Clean & Polish) and off by pressing the button again repeatedly. After 5 seconds it will switch off no matter what mode you are in and when you turn it on again, it will switch on to that same mode so you always use the same mode if you like. If you would like to move between modes again, you can push the button quickly to cycle to off then the modes. Lastly, if you hold the button for two seconds it will always turn right off in the mode you are in.

Getting the Best Clean with SURI

It’s designed around a gentler, dentist-recommended technique that works with your gum line, not against it. Instead of scrubbing or applying pressure, simply tilt the brush slightly towards your gums (about 45°) and guide it slowly in small circles. The sonic vibrations do the cleaning for you, no harsh motion is needed.

Every 30 seconds you’ll feel a gentle pulse to remind you to move to the next area of your mouth. After 2 minutes (the dentist-recommended time), your brush will switch off automatically.

Choosing Your Mode

Your brush has two modes, so you can adjust the intensity to suit your preference - just add a pea-sized amount of toothpaste and a splash of water to the bristles before you begin.

Everyday Clean (white light): A great starting point — especially if you're new to sonic brushing or prefer a gentler clean.

Polish Mode (blue light): A higher-intensity clean for those who like a bit more power.

Your brush will remember the last mode you used. To switch between them, just press the button quickly to cycle through.

Built-In UV-C Charging Case

Your case’s built-in UV-C light cleans your brush of 99.9% of bacteria in 1 minute. You can clean your brush head every week or so to keep it as fresh as possible.

To charge or clean your brush with the case, it needs to be plugged in.*

• When plugged in, close the UV case and click the button on top to activate the 1-minute UV-C LED cleaning sequence.
• The blue light on top of the case indicates that the UV-C cleaning sequence is on. Leave the case closed until the blue light on top turns off. **
• Your case can also charge your brush by connecting the provided cable to any 5V USB 2.0 charger.

Note: To be bedroom friendly, the case light won't indicate when charging, but your brush light will blink blue and turn solid white when fully charged.

*Your case does not contain a battery, as SURI wanted to avoid additional batteries when not necessary.

**UV-C lights can be harmful to the eye, so don’t open your case during the cleaning sequence. 

Good Habits Stick

Your brush comes with a separate mirror mount. Remove the adhesive cover and stick it on a clean mirror. The middle of your brush will magnetically stick to it now.

Note it is not possible to re-stick your mount without replacing the adhesive tape, so choose a good place first.
