Sterile saline water solution pouches from Hygitech designed for use in surgical washing and irrigation, to cool rotating surgical instruments during surgery or to clean heat sensitive surgical instruments.

• 0.9% sodium chloride concentration (saline solution).
• Non-injectable.

Saline Solution Concentration

Hygitech Sterile Saline Solution saline is a 0.9% saline solution.

This means that there is 0.9g of salt (NaCl) per 100ml of solution, or 9g of salt (NaCl) per litre.

0.9% saline solution is often referred to as normal saline because its ionic compound concentration is the same as blood plasma.

Sterile Saline Solution Applications

Saline Solution from Hygitech is designed for cooling rotating surgical handpieces and instruments during implant surgery or oscillating instruments during piezoelectric surgery.

After surgery, sterile saline solution can be used to remove blood and tissue fragments, and for washing and irrigating wounds.

Saline solution can also be used for washing heat sensitive medical surgical instruments.
