What do the stock statuses mean?

 

We operate a traffic light system for stock availability as follows:

  • IN STOCK - The item is in stock in our warehouse and will ordinarily be dispatched to you either on the same day or on the next working day for evening or weekend orders.
  • AVAILABLE TO ORDER - The item is not currently physically in stock but it is on order with the manufacturer. We are expecting it soon so it is available for you to backorder - Generally this means delivery to customers within 5-10 working days although this can vary - Backordered items do not incur any additional shipping costs and will automatically be dispatched to you as soon as they arrive with us.   • OUT OF STOCK - The item is not currently physically in stock in our warehouse and the manufacturer has not confirmed a likely delivery date so we're not accepting orders for it at the moment.

How much will my shipping cost?

 
  • Orders over £50.00 excluding VAT will be dispatched free of charge to mainland UK destinations.
  • Smaller orders under £50.00 excluding VAT will cost £3.95 + VAT for shipping to mainland UK destinations.
  • Orders over £200 excluding VAT to the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight will be dispatched free of charge.
  • Smaller orders under £200 excluding VAT to the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight will cost £14.95 + VAT.
  • Orders over £300 excluding VAT to Northern Ireland will be dispatched free of charge.
  • Smaller orders under £300 excluding VAT to Northern Ireland will cost £29.95 + VAT.
  • Orders over £350 to the Republic of Ireland will be dispatched free of charge.
  • Smaller orders under £350 to the Republic of Ireland will cost £35.00 + VAT.
  • Depending on the size of order and the shipping destination, orders containing licenced pharmaceutical items may incur additional surcharges. 

Convenient pickup locations near you: DPD Pickup

DPD Pickup offers you a more convenient and secure way to receive your order. Instead of delivering to your home, we send your parcel to a nearby, secure location you choose during checkout. You can then collect it at a time that suits you.

  • We partner with DPD Pickup offering thousands of local collection points nationwide, often in supermarkets, convenience stores, lockers, or Post Offices.
  • Your order is held securely for 7 days until you are ready to collect.
  • Choosing pickup often helps reduce carbon emissions compared to home delivery, making it a more sustainable option!
  • DPD Pickup is our lowest priced delivery option costing just £2.95 + VAT to all UK locations for orders under £50 excluding VAT or free of charge for orders over £50 excluding VAT.
  • Please note, DPD Pickup is not enabled for pharmaceuticals or restricted medical devices for regulatory reasons but it is available on items such as oral hygiene products, janitorial products, washroom products, scrubs and shoes.

How does DPD Pickup work?

  1. Select at Checkout: Simply choose the DPD Pickup option during checkout.
  2. Choose Location: You'll see a map and list to select your most convenient pickup location from the available options. The location's opening hours will be displayed.
  3. Confirmation: Once you've selected your location, complete checkout as normal and you'll receive your usual order confirmation from us.
  4. Ready for Collection Notification: Crucially, wait for a separate notification (via email and/or SMS) confirming your parcel is ready for collection at your chosen point. This notification will come from DPD and will include the pickup point address, opening hours, and what you need to bring to collect.
  5. Pickup Your Order: Visit the pickup point within the collection window of 7 days, making sure you have the required items (see below).
  6. For DPD Pickup collections you will need the DPD Pickup Pass or collection code sent to you by DPD via email/SMS. Photo ID may also be requested.

How much will the shipping of licenced pharmaceuticals cost?

 
Due to regulatory requirements, licenced pharmaceutical items are shipped via a dedicated MHRA accredited temperature controlled carrier.
 
This may incur additional surcharges as follows:
 
  • Orders over £200 excluding VAT that contain licenced pharmaceutical items will be dispatched free of charge to mainland UK destinations.
  • Smaller orders under £200 excluding VAT that contain licenced pharmaceutical items will incur a £8.29 + VAT surcharge to mainland UK destinations.
  • Orders over £500 excluding VAT that contain licenced pharmaceutical items will be dispatched free of charge to Northern Ireland destinations.
  • Smaller orders under £500 excluding VAT that contain licenced pharmaceutical items will incur a £49.96 + VAT surcharge to Northern Ireland destinations.
  • Orders over £750 excluding VAT that contain licenced pharmaceutical items will be dispatched free of charge to destinations in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man or the Isle of Wight.
  • Smaller orders under £750 excluding VAT that contain licenced pharmaceutical items will incur a £74.96 + VAT surcharge to destinations in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man or the Isle of Wight.

How long will my order take to arrive?

 
  • We dispatch orders received before 4pm Mon-Fri for next working day delivery to mainland UK with DPD or with Movianto for orders of licenced pharmaceuticals.
  • Smaller orders under £100 may be dispatched via the Royal Mail 24 hour tracked service - This should also be delivered to mainland UK on the next working day.
  • Orders to the Highlands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and other Islands may take an additional 24-48 hours.
  • Orders placed after 4pm on Friday will not be processed until Monday mornings.
  • Licenced pharmaceutical items on your order will be dispatched with Movianto, an MHRA approved temperature controlled carrier. This is due to temperature monitoring regulations for the delivery of pharmaceuticals.
  • Out of stock items on back order will be sent on to you automatically as soon as we receive them; for the majority of items this will be within 5-10 working days.
  • No additional delivery charges apply to items on back order.

  • Loyalty point rewards items can take up to 30 days to arrive.

How can I return an unwanted item?

 
  • Returns forms with full instructions are automatically emailed to you with your invoice.
  • Please call 01233 502605 for a returns number and complete the form.
  • All goods are to be returned at customers’ expense, except in the case of faulty or damaged goods.
  • Returned goods must be in a saleable condition, inclusive of all original packaging, unopened and unused.
  • All returns must be suitably packaged; items with shipping labels on the original packaging will not be credited.
  • Products with Tamperproof seals cannot be returned once the seal is broken.
  • Please note that all PPE products are currently non-returnable.

Can I return pharmaceuticals?


Dental Sky have a duty to comply with MHRA regulations and so in order to be legally compliant pharmaceuticals can only be accepted for return for the following reasons:

 

  • To correct an error in delivery or ordering provided it is reported within 3 calendar days of the delivery of the goods and returned within 5 calendar days from the date of receipt.
  • In response to a product or batch recall.
  • Where the products or packages are alleged to be faulty.
