Poly-F Plus

Poly-F Plus from Dentsply Sirona is a conventional zinc polycarboxylate cement perfect for use with porcelain fused to metal crowns & bridges, inlays, onlays and post-core units.

• Poly-F Plus is presented as a powder containing all reactive components.
• This powder is mixed with demineralized water.
• Poly-F Plus cement complies with the requirements of ISO 9917 for zinc polycarboxylate cements.

• Zinc oxide
• Magnesium hydroxide
• Calcium-alumino-sodium-fluoro-phosphor-silicate glass
• Polyacrylic acid
• Tin fluoride
• Iron oxide pigments

How to prepare Poly-F Plus

1. Fill water dispenser with distilled or de-ionized water.
2. Invert powder bottle to fluff the powder.
3. Overfill the scoop with powder and strike off the excess with the bottle insert leaving a flat surface level with the edge of the scoop. Take care not to press the powder into scoop, as this can give too thick a mixture.
4. Place the powder onto the pad provided or on a glass slab.
5. Divide the powder into two halves using a stainless steel spatula.
6. Dispense two drops of water by holding the bottle vertically and squeezing gently. 
7. Add one half of the powder to the water. As soon as the first half is wetted, incorporate the second, then mix thoroughly. Mix rapidly to a creamy consistency for cementation and to a putty-like consistency for linings and temporary fillings. For cementation consistency mixing time is 15 seconds. Base consistency may take 5 to 10 seconds longer.
