How to use orthodontic wax
- Wash hands with soap before using.
- Dry the area of the mouth before inserting the wax and clean around the bracket the wax is being placed.
- Break a small, pea-size amount of wax off and warm it in hands by rolling it.
- Apply the wax directly onto the bracket, hook or wire by pressing it against the area.
- Mould and smooth it around the edges until comfortable.
