Orotol Plus Suction system disinfectant and cleaner

Orotol Plus from Durr Dental disinfects, deodorises, cleans and maintains dental suction systems.

Orotol Plus is a foam-free liquid concentrate for simultaneous cleaning, disinfection, deodorisation and care of all suction systems and amalgam separators.

The History of Orotol Plus

Durr Dental invented suction system disinfection back in 1965 with Orotol.

Today, Orotol Plus is the world's most widely used suction system disinfectant.

The reasons for this are clear: it is easy to use, suitable for a wide range of tasks and highly compatible with other materials.

The success of Orotol Plus is based on Durr Dental's long-standing experience with suction systems. 

Orotol Plus Features

What are the benefits of Orotol Plus over original Orotol?

The most significant difference is that Orotol Plus is super concentrated only requiring 2% dilution.

This means that a 2.5 litre bottle of Orotol Plus will provide 125 litres of in use solution, whereas original Orotol only provides 50 litres of in use solution from the same size 2.5 litre bottle. 

The associated environmental benefits from this include reduced packaging waste, reduced storage requirements and fewer deliveries required all of which ltranslate to a lower carbon footprint with no compromise on performance.

Once mixed, Orotol Plus is used in exactly the same way as original Orotol with the same anti-microbial and non-foaming properties that you have come to expect.

Orotol Plus Antimicrobial Effect

Orotol Plus is bactericidal, yeasticidal, with virucidal activity against enveloped viruses (enveloped viruses including HBV, HCV, HIV and coronaviruses), non-enveloped adenoviruses and noroviruses.

Orotol Plus is included in the VAH list and IHO list of disinfectants.

Orotol Plus is tested under high load in accordance with EN 13727, EN 14561, EN 13624, EN 14562, EN 14476, EN 17111, EN 16615, as well as DVV/RKI guidelines.

How often should Orotol Plus be used?

• Orotol Plus should be used daily to ensure that your dental suction system is operating hygienically.

Orotol Plus Instructions For Use

Use Orotol Plus regularly as a 2% solution once or twice a day, for example before lunch and after the end of treatment for the day.

Once-daily application should be done exclusively at the end of the day.

1. Prepare by filling 40ml or 2 cover caps of Orotol Plus to a volume of 2 litres with cold water.
2. Drain 1 litre using the OroCup for example.
3. Add the remaining solution to the spittoon.

In accordance with the VAH, the required strength and exposure time for Orotol Plus is a 2% solution for 5 minutes for bactericidal and yeasticidal activity.

Viruses are inactivated at 2% for 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
