By using the latest manufacturing technology Intersurgical has produced the first major breakthrough in Guedel airway design for thirty years.

Combining two materials with very different physical characteristics into one moulding, their One-piece design eliminates the separate bite block found in all conventional Guedel airways.

Loose or detached bite blocks constitute a real threat to patient safety and have been the subject of several hazard notices in the past. The One-piece design overcomes all of the associated risks.

Guedel Airways with a softer tip

By continuing to prioritise patient safety, Intersurgical has further increased the softness of the tip of all Guedel airways.

Guedel airways that utilise hard and rigid materials at the tip represent a significant threat of causing trauma when inserted. By using an even softer material to form the tip of the One-piece Guedel airway, the potential to cause trauma to the patient’s airway upon insertion is further reduced.
