Normasol from Molnlycke is a single use sterile isotonic topical irrigation saline solution contained within an easy to open sachet.

Designed for use in topical irrigation, wound cleansing, irrigation of mucous membranes and rinsing of eyes.

Normasol is not suitable for injection and is only for external use. 

Normasol consists of: Sterile 0.9% w/v Sodium Chloride 

How is Normasol used?

Normasol should be used by or under the supervision of a qualified health care professional.

1. Clean/swab both sides of the sachet before opening.
2. Hold sachet with longest side vertical and dotted line at the top. Open/tear sachet along the dotted line, as marked by an arrow on the sachet seal.
3. Product is single use. Discard any unused solution.

Normasol storage and handling conditions

• Do not store the product above 25°C.
• Keep away from sunlight/keep away from heat.
• Store the sachets in the outer container (plastic pouch).
• Disposal should be handled according to local environmental procedures.

Normasol Precautions

• Do not reuse. If reused performance of the product may deteriorate, cross contamination may occur.
• Sterile. Do not use if sterile barrier is damaged or opened prior to use. Do not re-sterilise.
• Chemically incompatible with silver, lead, and mercury.
• Do not dilute the solution before use.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the sachet.
• The sachet packaging is flexible. Upon opening, care in handling should be taken to avoid spillage of solution.
