David Lane – Quality Manager

Introducing our longest-standing employee, David Lane! 

Dave was the third ever employee to join Dental Sky back in September 1999, when the company was just starting out! He started out in a Warehouse role, working alongside a Customer Services Advisor and a General Manager. For the first few weeks of the company launching, Dave was dealing with regular deliveries of stock with plenty of orders to pick, pack and dispatch, coupled with answering incoming customer calls. It was a manic few weeks but his hard work paid off as the company continued to grow, and as it did, so did Dave’s role. 

In 2008, Dave took on the position of Stock Controller where Dave would regularly audit the Warehouse and the stock inside it, ensuring that products had plenty of shelf life on them and were stored safely. In this role his talent and dedication really shone, so much so that in 2017 he was promoted again to Quality Manager! 

As Dental Sky’s Quality Manager, Dave runs regular inspections across the building and ensures our temperature-controlled rooms are running at the perfect temperature and our stock is stored safely, as well as working closely with our Responsible Person to help keep Dental Sky up-to-date with new laws, regulations and licenses. He really is dedicated and passionate about his role and regularly undertakes training to gain new qualifications to support his knowledge and understanding of not just the dental industry but of quality assurance too.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys a good Netflix binge, especially if it’s a thriller or mystery. Dave loves the thrill of a thriller/mystery storyline such as Squid Games as it keeps you guessing right up until the end!
