Adam Welbourn – Operations Manager  

Meet Operations Manager, Adam!

Adam started at Dental Sky in January 2006 in the Purchasing department. For a long time, Adam was the Purchasing Department solely running all the companies buying and purchasing operations! But as the company grew bigger, Adam assembled a team to join him and worked up to become Operations Manager!

As head of Purchasing and Operations, Adam manages the Purchasing team and ensures all the purchase orders are placed so that your favourite products are either on our shelves, or on their way to us. He also has a big job on his hands managing all the commodity codes ensuring our products have the right marks and codes on them ready to be sold. This in itself is a high-pressure responsibility and one that takes a lot of man-power as it’s vital that he gets this right, as otherwise our products would be recalled!

Adam is Mr Fix-It! He’s really good at fixing things, especially if it’s woodwork. In fact, Adam is so good, he thinks he could give those on Repair Shop a run for their money! And this is why Adam is often our go-to when the team has needed help fixing something, from broken handpieces to faulty products, Adam always has a creative solution to try!

Adam has great music taste and has even been complemented by one of his favourite artists! After meeting Jay Kay from Jamiroquai on a flight back from Tenerife, Adam explained that he had gone to a concert of his back in 1994 when they released their second album, to which Jay crowned him “old school!” What a compliment!
