Salbutamol Inhaler: 100mcg Metered Dose (200 Doses)
Salbutamol is used to relieve symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as coughing, wheezing and feeling breathless.
Salbutamol works by relaxing the muscles of the airways into the lungs, which makes it easier to breathe.
Salbutamol comes in an inhaler (puffer).
Salbutamol Patient Information
- Salbutamol inhalers are effective and safe with few side effects if you use them as advised by a medical professional.
- Salbutamol inhalers are referred to as reliever inhalers as they provide fast relief from breathing problems when used. Patients will also usually be given a separate preventer inhaler to help prevent symptoms and will use this every day.
- If patients need to use a salbutamol inhaler more than 3 times a week, it could be a sign that their condition is not well controlled. This should be discussed with a pharmacist or medical professional.
- Salbutamol is safe to use during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
Who can use Salbutamol inhalers?
Most adults and children of all ages can use salbutamol inhalers.
