Jext is a simple and reliable single-use adrenaline auto-injector pen.

Jext® is a single-use adrenaline auto-injector (AAI) pen. Each Jext® injects a premeasured single dose of adrenaline for the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis.

The needle is contained within the Jext® Pen before use and is automatically covered by the black needle shield after use.

Jext Pen Dosage

Jext® comes in two different doses. 300 micrograms for patients weighing greater than 30kg, and 150 micrograms for patients weighing between 15 – 30 kg.

How to use a Jext® Pen

• Step 1: The patient should grasp the Jext® injector in their dominant hand (the one they use to write with) with their thumb closest to the yellow cap.
• Step 2: They should then pull off the yellow cap with their other hand.
• Step 3: The black injector tip should be placed against their outer thigh, holding the injector at a right angle (approx. 90°) to the thigh.
• Step 4: They should push the black tip firmly into their outer thigh until they hear a ‘click’ confirming the injection has started, then keep it pushed in. The injector should be held firmly in place against the thigh for 10 seconds (a slow count to 10) then removed. The black tip will extend automatically and hide the needle.
• Step 5: They must then massage the injection area for 10 seconds and seek immediate medical help.
