Why has Perform ID been replaced by Dentavon ID?

Dentavon ID has all the benefits of Schulke's previous impression disinfectant Perform ID but works at a 1% dilution rather than the 2% dilution required with Perform ID.

This means Dentavon ID is more economical in use providing 90 litres of in use solution from a 900g tub as opposed to the 45 litres of solution provided by a 900g tub of Perform ID.

This improved concentration also makes Dentavon ID easier to store and have less environmental impact from transportation.

Areas of Application for Dentavon ID

Dentavon ID is used for the disinfection of dental impressions made of silicone, polyether or alginate by submersion.

Dentavon ID Instructions For Use

The prepared working solutions have a lifetime of 24 hours (≤ 25° C) and 4 hours (≤ 40° C) for guaranteed stability of the active ingredient.

The working solution should be changed if it is visibly contaminated.

From the standpoint of hygiene and to avoid the transmission of microbes and infections, the dental impressions should always be disinfected in the dental practice before shipment to the dental laboratory.

If the dental laboratory is unsure whether impressions were disinfected, disinfection must be performed in any case after receipt of materials from the practice.

Dentavon ID Dosage Instructions and Information for Use

1. Rinse off impressions under running water.
2. Fill container with water (max. 30°C), add product and dissolve.
3. The desired batch quantity is indicated in the dosing table.
4. The amount of powder needed must be weighed out.
5. Place impressions in the prepared solution, ensure the appropriate contact time, and then rinse off once again under running water.

Dentavon ID Microbiological Efficacy

• Bactericidal to EN13727 and EN14561 (clean conditions) at 1% (10 ml/l) concentration in 5 minutes.
• Yeasticidal to EN13624 & EN14562 (clean conditions) at 1% (10 ml/l) concentration in 5 minutes.
• Limited spectrum virucidal activity to EN14476 & EN17111 (clean conditions) at 1% (10 ml/l) concentration in 5 minutes.
• Virucidal activity to EN14476 & EN17111 (clean conditions) at 1% (10 ml/l) concentration in 5 minutes.

Dentavon ID Product Data

Composition - 100g contains:

• 49.5g pentapotassium bis(peroxymonosulphate) bis(sulphate). 

Also contains:

• Sodium (1-hydroxyethylidene) bisphosphonate.
• Sodium dodecyl sulphate. 
• (+)-Tartaric acid.

Advice for using Dentavon ID Safely

• Use disinfectants safely.
• Always read the label and product information before use.
• When disinfecting impressions with the product, compliance with the specified concentration and contact time in the immersion bath must be ensured in particular.
• Gloves must be worn.
• The working solution may have a bleaching effect on sensitive textiles.
• Keep container tightly closed.
• Protect from frost, heat and sunlight.
• Store at room temperature in the original container.
• Only recycle completely emptied packaging.
• Leftover product can be disposed of with household waste.
• Ensure adequate ventilation at the site of use.
• Any serious incidents related to the product are to be reported to the manufacturer and competent authority.
