American Eagle Instruments
American Eagle: Trusted heritage. Quality craftsmanship.
Trusted by generations of dental professionals around the world, every American Eagle Instrument begins with premium materials and a visionary design.
Although American Eagle Instruments® opened in 1992, their history began in 1948 with the start of American Dental Manufacturing, a family-founded dental hand instrument company that made its mark by providing high quality, durable instruments to the dental profession. Today, American Eagle Instruments has evolved to become one of the largest manufacturers of dental hand instruments in North America and is part of the Young Innovations family of brands. Their focus remains on progressive, innovative dental products which allow the practitioner more efficient processes with added ergonomic comfort.
American Eagle XP® Technology and EagleLite Ergonomic handles
American Eagle composite instruments are coated with the XP Technology nano-optimised, super-hard, scratch resistant surface which reliably stops composite from sticking to the instrument.
- Perfectly smooth surface.
- Prevents composite from sticking to the working end.
- Faster, easier treatments.
- More comfort, less fatigue.
EagleLite handles from American Eagle Instruments are 3/8" / 9.5mm ergonomic lightweight handles that offer comfort, control and tactile sensitivity. They reduce hand fatigue and help counteract carpal tunnel syndrome.
Stainless Steel and Plastic Resin handles can both be sterilised in the usual manner.
With composite instruments, scalers and both universal and Gracey curettes in the range, you can be sure to find an instrument that is both comfortable and convenient.

The End of Sharpening, Thanks to the Revolutionary American Eagle XP Technology
XP Technology is a patented technique for surface treatment. By using nano-optimised technology, the instruments become significantly more durable. The process also makes it possible to produce thinner instrument tips with sharper blades. Time consuming sharpening of instruments is thereby eliminated.
15,000 cycles: 100 X more durable
Independent studies have shown XP to be a revolutionary technological advance in the dental industry. Dr. Phillip Watson at the University of Toronto was able to show the extreme durability of the XP instruments, compared to standard alloy instruments
