This new material ensures strong and aesthetic restorations while simplifying the shading process to improve productivity.

To improve efficiency, many dentists use a single shade for about 80% of their restorations. That’s why 3M created Filtek Universal Restorative with NaturalMatch technology - so dentists can improve efficiency without sacrificing aesthetics. Just 8 designer shades, a universal opacity and a whiter Extra White shade designed to meet most patients' needs.

3M™ Filtek™ Universal Restorative is a light activated universal composite optimized to create esthetic anterior and posterior restorations. The 8 specially designed shades (A1, A2, A3, A3.5, A4, B1, B2, D3) plus the extra white (XW) match all 19 shades of the classical VITA shade guide Filtek Universal also features a pink opaquer (PO) - used to mask stained tooth structure, metal, and amalgam. The universal, body like opacity, enables up to a 2mm depth-of-cure. The pink opaquer can be placed in 1mm increments. All shades in capsule delivery can be warmed up to 700 C/1580 F.
